One of the finest Marrakech hotels, Dar Zemora is a beautiful Country House style boutique hotel within spacious grounds in the Palmeraie but only a short step away from the madness and mayhem of Marrakech’s Medina.
ROOMS & SUITES
BEBRA
A very individual room with balcony which can be either twin bedded or double bedded. Furniture is decorated in traditional Tatoui style using Oleander wood.
This is the only standard room with a fireplace. The bathroom has marble tub with shower over and a traditional brass wash hand basin. WC is within the bathroom.
MECILA
A Moroccan arrival – a very large entrance door with a normal size door inside it. The room can be either twin bedded or double bedded and contains Berber style carved furniture.
The large bathroom has a marble tub with shower over, twin wash hand basins and separate WC.
SAFRA
A more contemporary room, which can be either twin bedded or double bedded, with balcony and Zouak hand painted chest and embroidered cushions.
The bathroom has a marble tub, round marble wash hand basin and separate walk in shower with WC.
THE PERLA SUITE
The only accommodation above the ground floor. Enormous roof terrace with sitting, dining and relaxing areas including a draped pergola with double lounger.
Internally there is a draped four poster super-king size bed, sitting area with fireplace. Marble bath tub with shower over, WC and twin wash hand basins. Separate dressing room.
THE ZAHARA SUITE
Entered into through its own hall this dramatic chocolate coloured suite has draped four poster super-king size bed and sitting area with fireplace.
Large bathroom and dressing area, walk in shower, separate WC, marble tub and twin wash hand basins. Externally a terrace overlooking the gardens with day bed, dining and sitting areas.
THE PAVILLION POOL SUITE
A house in the gardens, comprising of a large sitting/dining room with fireplace, two double bedrooms (Palm & Tikida), extensive gardens, terraces and private swimming pool.
Palm Room has a quarter poster double bed. Tikida Room can be twin bedded or double bedded. Each has a fireplace and terrace overlooking the private pool. Bathroom comprising enamel bath, twin wash hand basins, walk in shower and WC. Tikida Room has a separate WC.

A dreamy retreat in Marrakech
If you are coming to Marrakech, treat yourself to staying at Dar Zemora. Located in the Palmeraie, a 15 minute ride from the Medina or La Jardin Majorelle, Dar Zemora is a comfortable, quiet and peaceful retreat from the noise and crowds of Marrakech.Formerly a private home, Dar Zemora is beautifully decorated, with public and private rooms that open into a lush garden and a bright blue pool. Excellent food and a friendly staff. We loved relaxing at Dar Zemora our last two days in Morocco — and did not want to leave.
An oasis of calm away from the madness of the Marrakech Medina
As soon as you enter through the large wooden gates, and into the reception hall, there’s an immediate sense of calm and well-being. This continues out in the beautiful lawned garden with large swimming pool. Further garden areas have roses, herbs and vegetables. A persistent, heady scent of orange blossom pervades the air. Rooms vary in size up to our suite which had its own veranda and seating with a view of the pool.Decoration is tasteful and classy Morrocan style. WiFi is available throughout. The staff are excellent, extremely well trained & led by manager Youssef – service is of a very high standard with attention to detail. Breakfast is light – comprising fresh fruit & yoghurt, traditional breads and a choice of eggs. Lunch & Dinner is available if desired – beautifully cooked and proportioned. Unreserved recommendation.
Brilliant Stay
We stayed for 5 nights and the service and facilities were amazing- all the staff were super friendly & helpful…nothing was ever too much trouble. Youssef was excellent in recommending local restaurants and tours and ensured our stay was really special.The setting is so relaxing with lovely gardens and a perfect pool. We stayed in The Perla Suite which was amazing and would highly recommend. Very spacious with its own huge private roof terrace.
Would certainly return again – if you want to still be close to the centre of Marrakech but not feel you are on a busy city break & can still get relaxing pool time, this is the perfect place. Thank you to everyone at Dar Zemora!
A Touch of Paradise
We spent two nights in the paradise that is Dar Zemora. Yousef arranged a private transfer from the medina and on arrival we were greeted by Yousef, given tea and a tour of the property.It’s stunning: the landscaping; buildings; rooms; vegetable garden and rose garden all kept beautifully. We ate at Dar Zemora for the full time we were there and the food was excellent, fresh and tasty. Our room was perfectly lovely and comfortable.
The touches that make this place special as well as the beauty of the property is the attentiveness and kindness of the staff, they are a credit to Dar Zemora, it’s so easy to relax as all your needs are taken care of from the lovely staff. We arranged a camel ride from the property, which was fun. As we had spent the 5 previous days in the medina and had already had a hammam and massage, we did not arrange this, however the spa area is lush and we heard from other guests that they had a great massage. We will definitely be back. It’s quite special.
